Artimus Wolz Drops Ghost Servo Trailer

Before Artimus ever conceived of the Chaos project, he spent his night hours experimenting with a project he calls Ghost Servo: A haunting fusion of orchestra and electronic minimalism to create an atmosphere of hopeful dread.

"I've always pictured this universe being like a music box: An intricate assortment of metal machinery that transfers its cold mathematical movements into lifelike beauty. I liked the idea of a soul trapped in an endless cycle of a single memory or feeling."

After the success of his Billboard-charting album, Chaos, Artimus revisited the collection of unfinished music and spent this past winter releasing it under various pseudonyms.

"The first song I teased out was a song called "Middle." It was a song that was sitting on my hard drive for YEARS. But when it released, several of my fans were wanting more. Up until then I considered Ghost Servo to be more of a pet project, but after seeing people resonate with this style I decided to throw an entire winter to finishing it."

The collection of four songs will be released on May 1 with subsequent "updates" released over time. Artimus attributes this unusual album release style to his love for computers.

"Growing up I dabbled a lot with robotics. I'd spend hours building little machines out of legos and motors. My favorite part was updating the programs. You'd see your creation fall off a table or something and spend hours trouble shooting it on the computer. When you finally got the robot working it wasn't because of the VERY last code, but because of the DOZENS you went through to get there. The Ghost Servo universe is kind of like that. It's a machine that I've patched over time and will continue to tweak until it arrives at whatever that ideal form is. I'm just as curious as my fans are to see where it goes."

Ghost Servo 1.0 releases May 1 and you can pre-save it here
